OVERVIEW:
Soil vapor extraction has been proven to effectively remove contaminant gases from the subsurface. Remediation Services International, Inc. (RSI) provides internal combustion engine packages that utilize the engines intake manifold to extract vapors from the subsurface.
FEATURES:
RSI’s soil vapor extraction engines are provided with a number of features and advantages to best match the site conditions:
• Up to 50 lbs/hr petroleum hydrocarbon destruction rate
• Oxygen sensor control loop with engine exhaust temp monitoring
• Catalytic converter
• Miscellaneous engine gauges with safety shutdown
• Moisture knockout tank with air particulate filter (one gallon capacity)
• Oil reservoir system
• Automatic Fire Suppression System
• Hot Air Ducts/additional noise reduction
• Natural gas control solenoid valve and propane regulator
• Noise abatement housing/cabinetry
• Single or dual Axle Trailer Optional
• Up to 160 SCFM flow per engine
TARGETED MARKETS:
The V3 and V4 engines are ideal for the remediation petroleum hydrocarbons (e.g. BTEX, TPHg, diesel, aviation fuel) at various sites:
• Commercial properties (e.g. underground storage tanks at gasoline stations)
• Bulk terminal distribution facilities
• Industrial facilities (e.g. refineries, manufacturing, railroad yards)
• Military bases
• Agricultural operations
BENEFITS:
The V3 and V4 engines offer a number of operating advantages as compared to other soil vapor extraction technologies:
• No electrical power is required to operate this equipment
• Low supplemental fuel required (equipment operates almost solely on vapors from the ground)
• The engine has a PTO so you can power other equipment
• Low dilution air required, minimizing the size of the equipment
• Removes more mass of contaminants per hour than any other soil vapor extraction technology
